WHO ARE WE

The South African Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (SAMSIG) was established in 2005 by a dedicated group of radiologists with a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging.  The initial aim of the group was to elevate the level of musculoskeletal imaging in South Africa to an international standard.  At that time, there were no dedicated subgroups of this nature within the RSSA, nor dedicated MSK fellowships or MSK specific meetings or congresses.

The conference will be from 4-8 September 2022.

These days, a radiologist at UCSF will go through anywhere from 20 to 100 scans a day, and each scan can have thousands of images to review.
